SweetYmotion is a top-selling Pop/R&B girl group comprised Bogi, Sarnai and Sundre. The girls were known in their home country as “Emotion” along with former group member Solongo and quickly became the best-selling Mongolian female group of all time. They released 3 studio albums, toured and won awards throughout Asia and Europe, including a Grammy equivalent “Pentatonic” for Best Single Album.
Bogi, Sarnai and Sundre began their friendship when they were just seven years old, while attending the distinguished Music and Dance School in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Sarnai and Bogi studied piano and Sundre studied violin. Although they were well-trained and had become accomplished classical musicians, they secretly dreamed of becoming successful pop artists like the American pop stars they grew up listening to. After school and on weekends, the three friends hung out in school classrooms or at home and sang together, shared newly released CDs of their favorite artists, followed news of what was going on in popular American music and who was on top of the charts at the time. This became one of the daily highlights of their friendship and helped form the solid foundation of what would eventually become SweetYmotion
In April of 1997, the Culture and Sports Center for Youth, in conjunction with the US Embassy in Mongolia, held a contest called “Who’s the best at singing in English?” By the end of the contest, the girls walked away with the “Grand Prix” first prize. They had received enormous support from their families, classmates and from many strangers who saw them perform in the contest. This experience gave them wings to fly and carry the big dream of bringing their natural talents to the rest of the world. It also captured the eye of successful music producer, Chinbaa, who was a member of “Niciton”, the best-selling rock band in Mongolia. His keen eye for talent led him to believe that there could be something very special with these girls. They like to talk about Chinbaa as a very quiet, nice guy, who was not only a good friend, but a tough teacher. He always told them “When it comes to music, especially practice, live shows and recording, you must be hard-working, self-disciplined, responsible and punctual.” Once Chinbaa laid down the law for the girls, the real journey began.
Bogi, Sarnai and Sundre soon found out what they were really getting into when Chinbaa put them through 2 years of grueling, 6 hours per day rehearsals, which often led to tears. There was not a single live performance, nor a single note recorded for 2 years. This emotional endurance test and re-education proved their devotion to the dream and sharpened their performing abilities to a point that now allows them to stand in the same league as the very world-class performers they grew to admire.
In 2000, the group released their first studio album “The First Rain Comes At Night” to critical acclaim. The album quickly climbed the charts, spawning four #1 hits in Mongolia and became the top selling album in Mongolia. This debut album further went on to win a “Pentatonic” at the Mongolian Music Awards for “Best Single Album.”
In 2001 they released “Why” their second album, which also quickly rose to the top of the Mongolian charts and secured five #1 hits in Mongolia. Emotion’s national success quickly received international attention as they were invited to perform throughout Asia and Europe. It was also in 2001 that the group did a successful 6 city tour of the United States. In early 2001, Emotion was invited to the White Moon International Song Festival in Russia and won the “Grand Prix” award for their performance. In 2002, the girls were invited to China to participate in the International Shanghai Asia Music Festival and won the “Most Potential” award.
In 2003, the girls landed in the United States to further pursue their dream of collaborating with the great musicians of America and becoming a successful international recording group. They have been touring throughout the USA, performing various summer music festivals and entertaining the troops of the USA with a few memorable stadium shows to welcome home several thousand U.S. Troops.
In 2008 the girls were back in the studio and hard at work on their 4th Mongolian studio album, as well as writing and recording their much anticipated multi-language debut as the group “SweetYmotion”. Bogi, Sarnai and Sundre look forward to sharing their music with the rest of the world.
The girls recall, “We’ve been through many things along the way. There were times when we were happy, sad, upset, or frustrated, but we always shared everything. We laughed together and we cried together. We encouraged and supported each other and learned from each other. Those were golden times of our life, and they brought us closer to each other, allowing us to get to know and truly care about one another. It also made us strong individually.” One of the sayings Bogi, Sundre and Sarnai will always live by is:

1997 оны 4 сард Монголын Залуучуудын Соёлын Төв болон Монгол дахь АНУ-ын Элчин Сайдын Яамнаас хамтран зохион байгуулсан “Англи дууг хэн сайн дуулах вэ?” тэмцээнд охид оролцож тэргүүн шагнал Гран При хүртжээ. Гэр бүл, анги хамт олон, түүгээр барахгүй энгийн ард олон хүртэл тэднийг урамшуулан баяр хүргэж, урам өгч байсан нь охидын од болох хүсэл мөрөөдлөө биелүүлэх их аянд гарах жигүүрийг хайрласан байна. Энэ тэмцээнд оролцож байх үедээ “Никитон” хамтлагийн даралтат хөгжимчин, одоогийн Sweetymotion-ий хамтлагийн ахлагч, хөгжмийн удирдагч Чинбаагийн нүдэнд өртөж, хамтран ажиллаж эхэлсэнээр тэдний уран бүтээлийн жинхэнэ аян эхэлжээ. Тун удалгүй 2000 онд Sweetymotion, хамгийн анхны цомог болох “Анхны бороо шөнө ордог” синглээ сонсогчдынхоо гарт хүргэж, тухайн жилдээ Монголын Рок, Поп Хөгжмийн Дээд шагнал гардуулах “Пентатоник” наадмаас “Шилдэг Сингл”-ийг хүртжээ. 2001 онд “Яагаад?” цомгоо гаргасаны 5 дуу нь шилдэг дууны жагсаалтуудыг тэргүүлсэн байна. Мөн тэр ондоо “Яагаад?” цомгоо “Why?” нэртэйгээр англи хэл дээр гаргасан нь Монголын рок, попын хөгжмийн түүхэнд хамгийн анхны англи хэл дээрхи цомог болсон юм. Энэхүү цомгоо сурталчилахаар Европ, Хойд Америк болон Азийн орнуудаар удаа дарааллан аялан тогложээ. Аялан тоглолтуудын явцад орон нутгийн радионууд, өдөр тутмын хэвлэлүүд болон хөгжмийн сэтгүүлүүдэд удаа дараа уригдан ярилцлага өгч байсан байна.
2001 онд Оросын Холбооны Улсын Улаан-Үд хотод зохиогдсон “Цагаан сар” наадамд оролцон тэргүүн шагнал болох Гран Приг хүртжээ. 2002 онд Солонгос Улсын Сөүл хотноо болсон UBS TV-ийн шинэ салбарын нээлтийн ажиллагаад зориулсан бие даасан тоглолт, мөн тухайн жилдээ Япон Улсын Токио хотноо зохион байгуулагдсан АЖ, Төрийн шагналт Н.Норовбанзадын нэрэмжит хүндэтгэлийн тоглолтод тус тус оролцон тоглосон. 2003 онд БНХАУ-ын Шанхай хотноо жил бүр зохион байгуулагддаг Азийн Олон Улсын Наадамд оролцон “Хамгийн ирээдүйтэй хамтлаг” шагналыг хүртжээ.
2003 онд Sweetymotion өөрсдийн мөрөөөлдөө хөтлөгдсөөр олон улсын хөгжмийн тавцанд хүчээ сорихоор АНУ-г зорьжээ. Тэр үеэс эхлэн олон төрлийн тоглолт, арга хэмжээ, бүхий л тавцанд уран бүтээлээ толилуулахын хажуугаар эх орныхоо орчин үеийн болон ардын хөгжмийг үргэлж сурталчилж байгаа нь хоёр орны урлагийн харилцааг хөгжүүлэхэд багагүй хувь нэмэр оруулж байгаа билээ.
Sweetymotion-ий охидууд, “Бидний хамтдаа туулж өнгөрүүлсэн хугацаанд баяртай гунигтай үеүд ээлжилж байлаа. Тэр үеүдэд бид хамтдаа уйлж, хамтдаа инээж байсан. Хэцүү үед бие биенээ түшиж тулж, шантарсан үед нэгэндээ итгэл зориг өгч байсан нь биднийг улам ихээр дотносоход нөлөөлсөн.
